Ernesto Lopes

President and CEO

Ernesto Lopes is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Resia. Ernesto is responsible for leading the development and execution of long-term business strategies. He co-founded Resia (formerly known as AHS Residential) in 2012 as a full-service real estate company with a mission to offer a reasonably priced living alternative to rent-burdened individuals and families in major metropolitan areas.

Ernesto has more than 35 years of experience in construction and real estate working on high profile projects in Latin America, Europe, and the United States. As a structural engineer in his native Brazil, Ernesto has extensive knowledge and work experience in designing formwork and shoring systems for bridges, high-rise buildings, and infrastructure projects.A long-time resident of South Florida, Ernesto founded Portland Services, a full-service construction company in Miami in 1999. He also served as President and CEO of the Greenwich Development Group where he was responsible for more than $450 million in commercial, industrial, and residential projects.


Ernesto is an alumnus of the Harvard Business School and the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, and a graduate of the Owner/President Management (OPM) program and the Advanced Management Development Program in Real Estate (ADMP).
